"In the Spotlight with David"

David Stevenson, Senior Account Manager

Stevenson, David.JPG
Hi, my name is David and I have work at Reynolds and Reynolds as a Senior Account Manager.

A little more about me...
I was born and raised in sunny Scotland just a few miles outside of Glasgow and I have never left. I have a wife and two young kids that keep me very busy.

From an early age, I have always loved anything with four wheels. My Dad was a mechanic so I grew up playing with car parts instead of traditional toys. I also learned to drive when I was 8 years old in a Volkswagen Split Screen Camper, around my uncle's farm and never stopped. I don’t remember how I reached the pedals but that’s how the story goes. I really enjoy working in the Motor Industry and feel very lucky that I get to spend so much time in dealerships talking about something that I love.

We asked David some questions...
  1. How are you finding working at Reynolds?
I'm really enjoyed it working at Reynolds and Reynolds and the sales team are a great bunch of people. I have really setteled into my role now and I'm enjoying getting out on the road and demonstrating our amazing products.

  2. What did you do before you joined the sales team?
I have worked in the Motor Trade for around 15 years now. After completing the Enterprise Graduate Scheme I went on to work in the Motoring section of The Scottish Daily Mail for 5 years. After this I worked for Autoglym for 5 years.

  3. If money was no barrier, what car would you like to own?
It would have to be a McLaren F1. There were only 106 cars ever made and with the central driving position, you will feel like a F1 driver out on the road.

  4. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to play golf and watch all things motorsport.

  5. What was the last film you watched?
Star Wars: The rise of Skywalker, both my wee girl and me loved.

  6. If you could invite some to dinner (dead or alive), who would it be and why?
Ayrton Senna as he is my favourite sportsperson ever, although the Scottish and Brazilian accents may be an issue.

  7. Finally, the quick fire round:
    Football or Rugby? Football
    Two wheels or four? Four
    Lager or Bitter? Lager
    Android or Apple? Apple
    Horror or comedy? Comedy
    Hot or cold? Cold
Night out or night in? Night In
