Hi, my name is David and I have recently joined the sales team at Reynolds and Reynolds.
A little more about me...
I was born and raised in sunny Scotland just a few miles outside of Glasgow and I have never left. I have a wife and two young kids that keep me very busy.
From an early age, I have always loved anything with four wheels. My Dad was a mechanic so I grew up playing with car parts instead of traditional toys. I also learned to drive when I was 8 years old in a Volkswagen Split Screen Camper, around my uncle's farm and never stopped. I don’t know remember how I reached the pedals but that’s how the story goes. I really enjoy working in the Motor Industry and feel very lucky that I get to spend so much time in dealerships talking about something that I love.
How have you found the first couple of months at Reynolds?
I have really enjoyed it. The training has been amazing and everyone has been very welcoming into the team. I am really looking forward to getting out on the road and demoing our amazing products.
What did you do before you joined the sales team?
I have worked in the Motor Trade for around 15 years now. After completing the Enterprise Graduate Scheme I went on to work in the Motoring section of The Scottish Daily Mail for 5 years. After this I worked for Autoglym for 5 years as an
If money was no barrier, what car would you like to own?
It would have to be a McLaren F1. There were only 106 cars ever made and with the central driving position, you will feel like a F1 driver out on the road.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to play golf and watch all things motorsport.
Where is your favourite destination and why?
I would probably say Italy, there is just something about it (great wine and food)! Lake Como is stunning and Venice is a favourite.
What was the last film you watched?
Star Wars: The rise of Skywalker, both my wee girl and me loved.
If you could invite some to dinner (dead or alive), who would it be and why?
Ayrton Senna as he is my favourite sportsperson ever, although the Scottish and Brazilian accents may be an issue.
As you say goodbye to 2019 and welcome 2020 what are your new year’s resolutions?
Healthy food and more exercise is a must as being on the road as it takes a toll on your lifestyle.
Finally, the quick fire round:
Football or Rugby? Football
Two wheels or four? Four
